Japan, France, Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Ireland, Australia and Vietnam lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.

Japan, with a CAGR of +26.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2024, electric motors; AC motors, single-phase (1.9M units) constituted the largest type of AC/DC motors supplied to the UK, accounting for a 51% share of total imports.
